Dogs are our link to paradise.
When I rescued you I gave you my house
When you were alone I took away the clouds by giving my vows.
When I walk thru the door it now feels like home. This is a place where I can freely roam.
Wagging my tail and waiting, our bond quickly grew. Such unconditional love!
Who rescued who?
When you rescue a dog, you just don’t rescue them from a shelter or a street you rescue them from pain that they experienced and break their mistrust on humans which was concrete. You don’t just give them a home, you give them a place where they don’t feel like an outsider anymore, where they are accepted and loved as they truly are, you give them so much more, you give them a place which they can finally call their own. When you give a dog a shelter and do this deed, you won’t even realise when indeed a soul with such kind eyes became such an important part of your life. Dogs will be someone who rescue you from your misery and make you live you life blissfully.
“They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. to sit with a dog on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring, it was peace.“
But this peace is unlikely if the basic needs of our fellow friends are not met. Just like humans need clothes to physically safeguard and protect them from the environmental harms, likewise dogs have some basic needs too, like vaccination and sterilization which protects them from environmental diseases and physical harms.
It’s true that dogs might be in just a small part of our lives but to them, we are their whole life. We promise to love them and protect them and make their lives better and by not vaccinating and sterilizing them, we stop them to live their potential best healthier self. Not doing this may cause them to live a life with diseases and pain which can even lead them have cancer and the worst is seeing them loose their lives battling these diseases. But why should we let them go through this pain when we can actually easily save them from all this trauma and suffering by just neutering and vaccinating them at the right time.
So we should all promise ourselves that whenever we pledge to give a dog shelter or food or water we should also promise them protection, which is vaccination and sterilization at the right time, as all living beings have the right to food shelter and protection.
While strays certainly don’t have the luxury of a cushy life that house pets fortunately have been blessed with, the former is still adaptable to humans and they too respond to human empathy. Why to resist those puppy eyes, those upward raised eyebrows , why let our fears, insecurities and indifference come in our way of accepting and loving them for who they really are. Kindness spreads as we share it. And perhaps one day, not too far away, you won’t see them as just angry strays who bark at strangers and kids but someone as happy tail wagging souls who lick your faces out of love everyday, who become a part of your life and become someone whom you can call your own.
As the saying goes, “God helps those who helps others” , yes we are quite small but we are capable of big things if we believe and believe makes us empathetic which furthermore brings us to act. The least we as humans can do for them is to feed them regularly and provide them a clean water source to drink from when they are thirsty.
Surely a little empathy and respect for another species can reduce a lot of conflict and make the world a happier place. So let’s try and make Mother Earth, a peaceful place for all creatures big and small, with shared thoughts of kindness.

Yes, we need to take care of all living beings. With care, concern, and compassion.. I do my bit in a very small way though. But the peace, happiness, and content I get in return are unmatched and unmeasured!! I feed and provide water for many numbers and varieties of birds, squirrels, and street dogs!!
Pls share your contact number so we could make joint efforts in the dire other ction of animal welfare
